How Architects Give Back

It seems as more and more people are coming to realize that in order to make the world a better place, we all have to give back. Tuck and Tuck Architects is a full service architecture firm specializing in contextual New England residential and commercial architecture. The firm was established on the philosophy that every site, client and project is different requiring a different outcome. Successful solutions respond gently to the site and neighboring context and intuitively satisfy the client’s needs. As a husband and wife team, we bring a unique approach with inherently different perspectives to each project. Our residential projects range from affordable small additions to complete interior and exterior renovations to new construction of large, luxury homes which dot the Rhode Island coast. We have experience with institutional and health care design, multi-family and affordable housing and industrial buildings. Christopher graduated with his Bachelor’s of Architecture and minor in Historic Preservation from Roger Williams University in 1997. Before founding Tuck and Tuck, he worked for Gregory J. Snider Architects for 10 years, specializing in high-end residential design and project management. Michelle also graduated with the Bachelors of Architecture and minor in Historic Preservation from Roger Williams University in 1997. She then went on to get her Masters in the History and Theory of Architecture from MIT in 2000, with her thesis on the Boston Art Club building and its position in the emerging Boston art culture winning the Thesis Award. Michelle worked for Newport Collaborative Architects while in college, William D. Warner Architects for 5 years and Gregory Snider Architects for almost 4 years. Both have studied architecture extensively home and abroad, and continue to visit architectural wonders every year. Christopher and Michelle are registered in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts and are affiliated with the American Institute of Architects and NCARB. We have a history of pro-bono works with among others, our church and neighborhood association.
